Художниците, които гостуват в София в рамките на Близо, по-близо, заедно – уроци по съжителство, ще говорят пред публика за работата си в неформална среда. Домакини на разговорите ще бъдат куратори, критици и изследователи от София.

Йоргос Сапунцис (роден през 1976г в Атина, Гърция) живее и работи в Берлин, Германия. Творчеството му се базира на скулптура/обект и пърформанс. Работите на Йоргос поставят под въпрос ролята на паметниците в демократичните общества. Той изследва границите на постоянството в историята и как то може да се разруши чрез предизвикване на различни символи.

The artists who will be in Sofia for Near, Closer, Together – Exercises for a Common Ground will be present to speak about their work with public in an environment of informal conversation. The conversations will be initated by some of the Sofia resident curators, writers and researchers.
09 May: Yorgos Sapountzis / 7 pm
Yorgos Sapountzis (born 1976 in Athens, Greece) works and lives in Berlin, Germany. He does both a mixture of sculpture/specific objects and event pieces. Yorgos’s work questions the role of monuments in democratic societies. He is exploring the limitations of permanence in history and how it can be subverted through a challenging of symbols and order.
